" Microneedling helps stimulate the body's production of collagen & elastin."

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling helps stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin. Its considered a skin resurfacing treatment. The natural production of these create healthier and younger looking skin. Through segmented delivery of microneedles, we create micro injuries to the outer layer of skin (epidermis) and inner layer of skin (dermis). This causes the body to repair itself; stimulating the growth of fibroblast cells which will trigger the production of collagen. This results in smoother looking skin.

What can Microneedling treat?

Microneedling is used to treat and improve conditions like acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, loose skin, skin texture, pore size, brown spots, stretch marks, and pigment issues. In a study, microneedling has been found to be effective in reducing even burn scars by up to 80%. It's also called skin needling, collagen induction therapy (CIT), and percutaneous collagen induction (PCI).

What is Microneedling with PRP?

PRP stands for plasma rich platelets. Adding PRP to microneedling can make it more effective. We will take a sample of your own blood, use a centrifuge to separate the PRP from the rest of the blood. We apply the platelets to your skin during the microneedling treatment. PRP contains proteins, which help your skin repair itself. PRP can help treat certain marks or blemishes and can help speed up the healing process.

Is Microneedling just for your face?

Microneedling can also be used to treat other areas of the body like the abdomen, legs, arms and hands. It can treat all forms of scars such as acne, surgery scars, stretch marks, abdominal scars, burn contracture scars or areas of loose skin.

Does it hurt?

We can understand that microneedling sounds like a painful endeavor. Skin redness is a natural side effect of treatment, which can make microneedling look painful, as well. It isn’t. We make the treatment process as comfortable as possible by applying a topical numbing cream to the skin prior to treatment. This solution is left on the skin for several minutes, allowing time for full absorption. Most patients feel little if any sensation at all during microneedling treatment.

How long do results last?

The purpose of microneedling treatment is to elicit long lasting results by encouraging collagen remodeling and thus skin resurfacing. After a series of 3-6 treatments, collagen and elastin regeneration may continue for several months.

The aging process is one that never stops. It affects us all differently. Prolonging the results from microneedling involves good daily skin care and sun protection. To further promote youthfulness, routine microneedling are suggested once or twice a year after your initial series of 3-6 treatments.

What is radiofrequency microneedling?

Radiofrequency (RF) microneedling is a form of collagen induction therapy that has become increasingly popular for adults interested in promoting youthful skin. It is performed to induce collagen proliferation in a gentle, yet efficient manner. This treatment draws more collagen and elastin into an area of the skin by creating controlled injuries to the uppermost layers of tissue. It is much more powerful than microneedling alone, with clinically proven better results. Patients experience some down time and post care requirements with this procedure.

What does Eclipse MicroPen Elite® microneedling recovery look like?

The primary side effect of microneedling (Collagen Induction Therapy) is redness. You may also experience minor bleeding that lasts a short time. The creation of tiny channels in the skin increases the absorption of topical serums and creams. Because of this, we will advise you on specific products to support the healing process. Within a day or two, redness should dissipate significantly, if not completely. The skin may begin to feel tighter and softer after the very first treatment. We suggest up to four follow up treatments for optimal, lasting results.
